Our Impact

A veteran's path from injury to rehabilitation is not complete unless he or she can find purpose in their lives. For many, this means continuing their education in order to grow a successful business or seek employment. Since our beginnings, we have assisted numerous veterans and disabled people in meeting their educational needs and developing their career paths with the Center for Business Acceleration (CBA), thereby achieving their personal and professional goals.

Our Programs

About Giving was founded in 2011 as a 501(c)(3) Public Charity. We have since established multiple philanthropic branches, including The Center for Business Acceleration (CBA). The CBA houses the VA Accelerator, the only program of its kind, developed specifically for Chapter 31 Veterans seeking assistance in self-employment or employment. In collaboration with the U.S. AbilityOne Commission, the CBA also provides apprenticeship programs, which increase employment opportunities for disabled Veterans and other persons with disabilities.

Whether students are business owners, executives, or new employees, the CBA offers fast access to the best courses for accelerating their journeys toward success. The CBA offers educational programs which are written and taught by experts in their fields. These educational programs are recognized as a National Program Standard by the Department of Labor and are accredited through the ANSI National Accreditation Board (ANAB), which guarantees quality and assures learner achievement of measurable outcomes.

These programs also award students with portable credentials upon completion. The CBA also offers Continuing Education Units (CEUs) to help students maintain their best performance or expand their expertise. Courses can be selected from a variety of subjects according to individual needs, resulting in a well-rounded and specialized business education for each student.

The CBA is a “living” organization, and is constantly evolving its course offerings to best fit the needs of its students and the business climate. Using valuable feedback from our students and the business community, new curricula are regularly added to provide students the most updated tools they need to succeed. Increasing awareness of the CBA’s educational programs has also attracted corporations, which are interested in the educational employment segment of its services

From entrepreneurship to business administration or management, the Center for Business Acceleration provides a practical application-based approach to learning. Students can learn anywhere, at any time, and at their own pace. The CBA gives students access to knowledge, skills, and abilities that can be used in the real world to advance their careers and quality of life.

“The VA Accelerator Program is great. It does take a lot of dedication. You’re going to get out of it what you put into it. I would recommend it to any veteran looking to start a business.”
